Field investigations were conducted during kharif 2021-22 at the experimental field of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Korea, Chhattisgarh to the screening of ten pigeon pea varieties against the pod borer, Helicoverpa armigera under field conditions in which recorded lowest overall larval population in variety No.-46-1 with 0.60 larvae/plant followed by N-23, No.-46-2, Safed arhar, Raipur arhar-1, Chaiti arhar, Aghitna arhar, No.-23-3 and Rajiv lochan with 0.63, 0.66, 0.70, 0.71, 0.72, 0.81, 0.88 and 0.89 larvae/plant, respectively, but it was highest in variety BGR-2 with 0.93 larvae/plant. However minimum pod damage of pod borer was recorded in variety No.-46-1 with 3.74 percent and the variety BGR-2 was recorded maximum pod damage with 4.73 percent.
